Association POBJEDE – protection and promotion of animal rights, Osijek, Croatia
* founded June 2009.
* as a result of a civil initiative gathered around dog shelter in Nemetin, near Osijek, Slavonsko-baranjska county, eastern Croatia

GOALS and ACTIVITIES:

• Protection of abandoned dogs, their placement in a no-kill shelter and rehoming
• Protection of animals from various forms of human cruelty
• Promotion of animal rights through non-speciesist forms of thinking
• Everyday care for 200 abandoned shelter dogs
• Organization of different  forms of public events (second hand fairs, concerts, exhibitions, movie projections…) related to our field of activity with purpose of bringing to consciousness and developing of sensibility in a field of animal wellfare and rights
• Education on animal rights and wellfare with the purpose of development of tolerant society and active participation in it
• Promotion of veganism as a self-sustainable lifestyle
• Cooperation with different local/national/international associations with similar goals and activities
• Cooperation with local and state`s educational institutions
